FAQ

  • In order to apply for and receive this grant, applications must have been awarded a grant in RTYPF’s inaugural year (2023-24) and have completed the full grant cycle (i.e. submitted a final grant report).

Recipients of the 2024-2025 YLA grant are not eligible for the 2024-2025 RTYPF extension grant.

  • We anticipate that the new grant cycle will be more competitive than last year.

The fund is planning for a smaller cohort, with a mix of new grantees and returning grantees, so that we can give closer attention to each of the cohort members.

At the moment, we are anticipating a cohort that has a maximum of 20 grants split between new and returning organizations, in addition to up to 4 YLA grants.

If you and your organization are interested in supporting the work of the fund, and would benefit from a grant of $75k, we would encourage you to apply!

  • The deadline to submit is Monday, 08 July 2024 at 11:59 PM PST

  • Grantees are eligible to receive one (1) grant. In this case, you could receive either the YLA grant or an extension grant.

If you were to apply for the YLA grant, but not receive it, you would be eligible to apply for and potentially receive the extension grant.

Applicants for the YLA grant will receive a decision prior to the RFP closure of the extension grant.

  • One (1) young leader (35 or younger) from your organization would join the Steering Committee consistently through the term of the grant.

If you are interested in applying for the grant, but aren't sure which one individual would join, reach out to us before applying: RTYouthPowerFund@hopelab.org

  • Two main drivers led to the creation of this grant: (1) a need for cross-generational governance and inputs as the fund moves into its second year and beyond, and (2) a desire to support grantees who have voiced interest in playing a more formal role in the development and distribution of the fund.

  • This grant is for $75,000 to your 501(c)(3) organization.

As with the fund, reporting on how these funds were used will be required for the grant.
